Strawberry nails.

Since my school has ended I have enjoyed being able to do the things that I haven't been able to do before. Including dying my hair and painting my nails. I have spent the past few weeks thinking about fun things to do with my nails but on a budget. I already had red nail polish and my friend told me about some cheap nail art paint. So I bought a green and a white so I could paint strawberries on my nails.
It's pretty easy to do. Paint the nails red then for the green part. I painted a line along the top then roughly made a zig-zag pattern. Then I did the dots with my white nail paint. It's simple, fun and cute and I can't wait to try out some more designs.

Kusudama

A few months ago I had a Korean homestay who stayed with me for a weekend. When we took her back to school she gave me this paper ball.
I thought it was so cool! I went home and tried to find what it is called and how to make it. I found that it is called a Kusudama. It is made up of about 40 little flowers traditionally sewn or if you are lazy like me glued together in rings of 3-8-10-10-8-3. It takes a while to makeand the flowers are a little bit tricky but once you get the hang of it they are easy.
I made a purple one for my boyfriend and I am now making one for my friend to put on his christmas tree. He requested it in assorted colours So I started with the flowers.
This is the first ring of 10 of the second half. Still drying so I had to be careful when taking the picture.
I just finished the second half and glued it together. I couldn't find enough string to create a tassel so I made a little loops that will allow my friend to put it on his christmas tree.
These are so much fun to make and they make great presents! It takes a little while to get the hang of it but after a while it is easy. I think the traditional method is to use string to tie the rings together but I cheat and use glue. If you are bored or want a challenge and try something new then find a tutorial and try it. Have fun!

Pikachu Origami!

I'm obsessed with cute things and anything Japanese! So when I saw this picture I had to try make them. I found the tutorial which was easy so I spent the whole day making them!! I even changed it and made a hello kitty one. It is the same method as an Origami water bomb but you just fold on side back to back the ears and draw the face one. Which if your a perfectionist like me can take a little while.

They are just cute little things to have sitting around your room or as little gifts for friends.

In my last school holidays I was sick and my boyfriend was overseas. :( This gave me a few days to relax and make these I also drew a cute Hello Kitty I found and painted a Pikachu for my friend's birthday present.
Hello Kitty wearing a Totoro costume and an unmbrella...so cute!!

Pikachu!!

As much as I love Pikachu and Hello Kitty I do love many other characters as well, today just seemed to be about them. :)
I'm not really artistic i'm just ok and I really do it for fun :)
